Career
Following the breakup of Blink-182 in February 2005, members Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker formed Plus-44 to continue their music careers.
After some speculation over their debut album's sound and direction, When Your Heart Stops Beating was released in November 2006. Allmusic called it an "enjoyable," "unexpected treat," though Rolling Stone criticized the tracks as "Blink castoffs."
In 2007, the band announced they started work on their sophomore album. In April 2008, the band attributed its delay to a lack of funds.
