A 44 lb. cat was found wandering the lawns of Voorhees, New Jersey, on July 26, 2008. Dubbed "Princess Chunk" by workers at the local animal shelter, the homeless pet is less than 3 lbs. short of the world record for heaviest domestic feline.Chicago Tribune: 44-pound cat, Princess Chunk (July 20, 2008) However it transpired, confirmed by a veterinary that the cat was in fact a male and was renamed Prince Chunk.
On August 8 2009 a new story reported that the 44lb cat had found a new home after 500+ people. from as far away as Europe, applied to adopt the cat. According to the Camden County Animal Shelter he has gone to a family in New Jersey.http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,400041,00.html

Princess Chunk
This video captures the 44lb cat at the shelter which took her in. It was taken the day after she was found wandering around outside the shelter without a collar. One of the interviewers asked if she could walk to which the handler replied yes she can walk, but I don't think she is going to be able to run anywhere.
