The Cardinals dominated the game early, including building a 14-point lead in the first quarter. The first touchdown came as a result of an interception thrown by Dallas quarterback Jon Kitna which was grabbed by Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and returned 32 yards. The second score also came from an interception when Gregory Toler returned the ball 66 yards for a touchdown. Teams played to a 21-10 score with the Cardinals ahead at the half. Dallas came back in the third quarter to bring the game to 20-21. Buehler added a second field goal while Marion Barber ran the ball in for a 24-yard touchdown. After a field goal by the Cardinals in the fourth quarter, Dallas briefly took the lead when Stephen McGee threw a 37-yard touchdown pass to Miles Austin.
