2010 NFL Draft Order

The annual NFL Draft is held each April, and is the best way for NFL organizations to improve their rosters. For a player to be eligible for the NFL draft they must be three calendar years removed from their senior year of high school.

The order of the draft is determined by the win loss record of the team in the previous season. The 2010 NFL Draft will take place on April 22-24, 2010 and will be held at Radio City Music Hall. It will air of TV live on ESPN and the NFL network.

The draft is the primary way the 32 NFL teams find talent for their rosters. However teams will have to adjust to a new format in 2010. Round one will conducted on Thursday April 22, 2010. Instead of having 15 minutes between pick teams will have just 10.

In round two, which will be conducted on Friday April 23, 2010 team have just seven minutes to announce their picks. In rounds three to five, to be conducted April 24, 2010, team will have just five minutes to make their selections. http://www.docsports.com/current/nfl-draft-rules.html

Background and History

The 2010 NFL Draft will be the 75th draft in the history of that league. It was the brain child of Hall of Fame Player, and later NFL Commissioner Bert Bell. The first NFL Draft was held in 1936. http://www.profootballhof.com/history/general/draft/index.aspx

Since then over 10,000 College players have been selected, some were stars, some were busts, and some never played a down. Teams have grown to greatness in the draft, and others have been destroyed. It is all in how each teams plays their cards.
