Career
Easton Corbin grew up in rural Gilchrist County, Florida spending a lot of time on his grandparent’s cattle farm and living just a mile from the Suwannee River. He earned a business degree at the College of Agriculture at the University of Florida. Easton married his wife Brinn in 2006 and a month later the pair moved to Nashville. To have a back up plan, he took a day job at a local Ace Hardware while Brinn worked at a doctor’s office.
Easton’s musical influences include George Jones, Merle Haggard, George Strait and Keith Whitley. He loves traditional music and has been predicted by some to be the George Strait of the future. His first single, A Little More Country Than That, was written by Rory Feek, Don Poythress and Wynn Varble . Rory is a fellow newcomer to the performance side of the country music industry as a part of the Joey and Rory duo.
A Little More Country Than That tells the story of rural life which Easton’s small town gave him. Even though he didn’t write the song, it lines up with his life story and is a good fit for him. http://www.cmt.com/artists/az/corbin_easton/2497856/album.jhtml Easton’s self titled album was released by Mercury Nashville in March 2010.
