2010 ALCS

The 2010 American League Championship Series, or ALCS, was the second of three rounds in the 2010 MLB Playoffs. The series determined the American League Champion and team that continued on to play against the winner of the National League Championship Series in the 2010 World Series to determine the champion of Major League Baseball. 2009 American League Championship Series

In the 2009 Major League Baseball season, the New York Yankees met the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in the American League Championship Series. The Yankees defeated the Minnesota Twins in the American League Divisional Series while the Angels topped the Boston Red Sox to continue on. The 2009 ALCS went six games, with the Yankees winning games one, two, four and six to take the American League Championship and earn a place in the 2009 World Series.
