Mariah Carey opened the show with a Christmas jingle while her dancers passed out toys to the audience members. Celine Dion sang Janis Ian's "At Seventeen," a song that was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2008. The Foo Fighters sang "Your So Vain" by Carly Simon. The song was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2004. Christina Aguilera performed George Gershwin's "I Loves You Porgy" in a tribute to Nina Simone. Taylor Swift sang Brenda Lee's 1960 classic "I'm Sorry." She also sang "I'm Not a Princess" from her latest album Fearless. Ending the night was John Mayer and B.B. King, they sang Louis Jordan's "Let The Good Times Roll."
