The 2009 Ford F-150 made its debut at the 2008 Detroit Auto Show in 2008. The new trim level Platinum is avaliable for the first time on these trucks, featuring a hands free communication system, ash wood accents, leather captain's chairs and and upgraded audio system. Improvements from previous models include longer leaf springs, stronger steel and a top-to-bottom inside-and-out design change.
