The nominees for the 44th annual Academy of Country Music Awards were announced on the morning of February 11, 2009. The announcement was made by Julianne Hough, LeAnn Rimes, Kellie Pickler and Jessica Simpson at a press conference held at the Country Music Hall of Fame.
Brad Paisley leads all nominees with six, including Entertainer of the Year, Top Male Vocalist and Vocal Event of the Year. The ceremony, which is being held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, airs April 5 on CBS.CBS News: Paisley Leads Way Among ACM Nominees (February 11, 2009)
