The 2008 Democratic National Convention will be held from Monday, August 25, through Thursday, August 28, 2008, in Denver, Colorado.
At this event, the party will officially select its nominee for President.
The event will be covered by a variety of print and broadcast media. In addition to this traditional coverage, an unprecedented number of bloggers have been invited to provide live internet coverage of the event.

Delegate Controversy
Because they chose to hold primaries early, Florida and Michigan delegates were told they would not be seated at the convention. As the fight for the party's nomination goes on, both candidates are concerned for the delegates' vote to count.
Howard Dean will be leading the Rules and Bylaws Committee during their special meeting on Saturday, May 31, 2008, in an attempt to resolve the issue. Legal advisers have indicated the party should only seat half of the delegates from each state.
