The 2008
Wisconsin Primary was held last February 19, 2008. Ninety-two delegates were at stake for the
Democrats and 40 for the
Republicans.
Barack Obama and
Hillary Rodham Clinton have campaigned extensively in Wisconsin, as Clinton hoped to stop Obama's momentum and streak of 8 straight primary and caucus wins. The primary ended with Obama defeating Clinton by winning the most number of delegates for the Democratic Party. On the other hand,
John McCain won the largest number of delegates for the Republican Party.
