Hillary Clinton was expected to prevail and was declared the winner very soon after polls closed. When all the results were in, Clinton won by 65% to Obama's 30%.
A total of 60 delegates are up for grabs for the Democratic Party and 45 for the Republicans. Most polls leading up to the primary had Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton with a wide lead over Senator Barack Obama.
