2007 Nobel Prize in Chemistry

The 2007 Nobel Prize for chemistry was awarded to Gerhard Ertl, a German physicist, "for his studies of chemical processes on solid surfaces."¹ The Nobel Prize for chemistry has been handed out once a year since 1901.
