1990s are a Scottish rock band. Following the breakup of the band Yummy Fur in 1999, former members Jackie McKeown and Jamie McMorrow started a new group, the 1990s. After playing only six shows, they were signed to Rough Trade Records.
Shortly after the release of their debut album, Cookies, in 2007, McMorrow left the group and was replaced by Dino Bardot.
Cookies received positive reviews from most critics, hailed as a "hilariously brilliant" album by Rolling Stone, and received an 8.1 rating from Pitchfork.
The band often co-headline tours with the likes of The Long Blondes and Franz Ferdinand, whose members Alex Kapranos and Paul Thomson were former members of Yummy Fur.
