A 1937 Bugatti Type 57S Atalante was discovered in the London garage of an avid car collector after his death. The car, which hadn't been driven since about 1960, was expected to gather at least $4.3 million at auction.Rare 1937 Bugatti supercar found in English garage (January 2, 2009)
On February 7, 2009, the car sold at the Bonham's Retromobile Auction in Paris for $4.4 million dollars. Bugatti's Last Owner
The Bugatti was owned by orthopedist Dr. Harold Carr, who died in 2007 at age 89. Carr, who lived in Gosforth, near Newcastle, England, suffered from obsessive compulsive complex, and never married nor had any children. His estate was left to eight relatives, nieces and nephews who aware that he had a number of classic cars but weren't aware of their value.
