- September 21: One year after King Louis XVI stripped himself of most of his power the French Legislative Assembly votes to abolish Monarchy in France
October 1792
- October 13: The first cornerstone is laid at The White House which was designed by French architect Charles L'Enfant. John Adams would become the first President to sleep in The White House in 1800.
December 1792
- December 5: President George Washington was re-elected.
