Cafes in the Pacific Northwest and Chicago have reportedly offered a $15 cup of coffee. The coffee is a rare blend called Panama Esmerelda Especial Reserva, reputed to contain complex tropical flavors. The beans themselves go for $200 per lb and are available in extremely limited quantities—thus the standard price of $15 per cup when brewed.
