A 14-foot hammerhead was caught in shallow waters off the coast of Florida on February 5, 2008. The shark was reported to weigh more than 1,000 pounds. The fisherman who caught the shark did not intend to kill it, but the 1.5 hour struggle caused the shark to drown.
