  • Reviews for 13 Going On 30

'"Gary Winick directed 2002's charming, somewhat quirky "Tadpole." Here, however, saddled with less perceptive material, he must rely on Garner's considerable charm to keep the audience's focus away from the hackneyed plot. It is a story filled with holes." — Lawrence.com Review

"The happy ending in 13 Going on 30 is an outrageous contrivance arrived at all too quickly. But it is, nevertheless, more satisfying--more spiritually rewarding, let's venture--than most." — Film Journal International

"Despite some serious over-acting in early scenes, Garner is perfect as the woman who realises she was far cooler as a kid than an adult and her relationship with Ruffalo's adult Matt is the film's most touching - yet underworked - highlight. If audiences can take their eyes off either of them, there's a lesson in here for all of us." — RTE Entertainment Review
