12 Miles of Bad Road is an American dramatic comedy television program created by Linda Bloodworth-Thomason and starring Lily Tomlin. The program is about a wealthy Texas real estate baroness and her dysfunctional children.
A Casualty of the Writer's Strike

12 Miles of Bad Road was originally to air on the HBO premium cable television network. The network ordered ten shows, and six were shot before the 2007 - 2008 Writers Guild of America strike put most Hollywood productions on hold. After the strike, HBO reversed its decision, leaving 12 Miles of Bad Road without a network.
