10 Years Younger

  • 10 Years Younger is a makeover reality television show on The Learning Channel. There are three steps or acts to the television show. First the contestant is introduced and tells their story. They get into a glass box on a busy street (the Third Street Promenade when the show is filmed in Los Angeles) and the host Mark Montano asks 100 random people how old the contestant looks. From the average of guesses the team then tries to make the person look 10 Years Younger.

In the second act of the show the contestant goes through an intense makeover. Makeovers often entail more than just a haircut and some new clothes. Contestants often receive complicated dermatological and dental procedures.

After the big make over the contestant's new look is revealed to their family members and loved ones, and the contestant is put back into the box and the public once again guesses their age.
